Super Pumped!

Huge surprise today to find myself the featured artist in the Empty Easel newsletter! (view it here: http://emptyeasel.com/2015/02/18/terri-einer-quirky-and-whimsical-acrylic-paintings/ )

Very nice write up and boost to my little art business! I'm in the midst of a move, so here's a commissioned piece from a couple years ago.

To the Park!

"To the Park", Acrylic on 11x14 canvas.
Original is sold.  Prints available at www.terri-einer.artistwebsites.com
My painting of the little kids crossing the street in the snow was very popular and sold immediately. I was going to paint another one but decided that it was so close to spring, I needed a "spring" version, so here is my latest rendition of the kids on their way to the park on a brisk spring day. You'll notice I have one little rebel with short sleeves and bare feet that is carrying a skateboard and is really pushing to get to warmer weather! I have this one entered in a show right now, so it is not available to ship until April. Just let me know if you still want it and can wait for receipt after the show.  Thanks!

Pastel Demo

This is the finished painting from my Pastel Demo at Gallery Walk last night.  I tried that new SpectraFix spray that they claim won't darken the painting. Uh.. Ya, yes it does!  Good thing I only tried it on a little corner.  I won't be spraying my pastels anytime, soon.  They are much better just framed under glass.

Farmland Sunset.  8x10 Pastel, ready for framing in 11x14 mat.  Available $55

Sleepless in Oshkosh

What do you do when a stupid endloader wakes you up at 3:30 a.m.??? Paint, of course! These acrylics were all painted on a chunky 4x4x1.5" canvas, which are just plain fun!

Painting Class

Had a fun time at "Small Paintings" class yesterday.  I have never done the "glazing" technique before, so quite different for me.  I may try it again in the future, but I can have a painting done in the time it took me to mix the colors!  lol  Here's my painting from yesterday.

8x8 Acrylic on Gesso Panel Available $45-Message me

Also decided to add details lines to this one.  I think I like it better:
