Commissioned Art
I've had the pleasure of securing a few commissioned pieces lately. The first one was for a "Man-Cave". Customer wanted the Milwaukee Brewers. I cannot infringe on their logo, so just recreated a similar rendition. They were so happy with the results that they ordered another commission from me.
The second commission that I just completed was from a photograph. Client has a cabin on the lake and wanted to capture the sunset over the lake. This is completed project:
I am pleased with the results of both. I love to paint from a theme!
Thank you for your visit to my sporadic blog!

Texture!
I've been working on a couple textured pieces. This is new for me and it was fun! Takes me longer than my usual hour to finish because the first texture layer has to dry before I can attack it with paint, but that's okay now that I have a studio. I actually have room for "in process" pieces!
Here's the 2 textured ones I did:
"Happy Dance" Original is sold. Prints of "Happy Dance" or the Original of "Storm at Sea" are both paintings are available on my website: www.terri-einer.artistwebsites.com.

Scratch that Itch!
I've been neglecting my blog. My hubby and I just moved into a new house and I've been occupied with the move, but my new studio is calling to me! I'm finally feeling settled in, but this week is still crazy. I met with fellow artists at my new gallery representative: Shades of Green, last night. Tonight is the Oshkosh Fine Arts Association meeting and tomorrow my "Art for Tarts" gals are coming to see my new studio space. Not that I'm complaining. It's great to be busy, but this picture of my granddaughter has been pulling at me.
This image, for some reason just pulls at my heartstrings as I watch this little peanut, with her Ninja Turtle lunchbox, venture out into the big world on her first day of preschool. These are the type of images that call to me. It's like an itch that needs to be scratched that I cannot shake until I put it to canvas. Next posting will hopefully be this completed piece. Happy Painting! Terri
